We did our first “Kids Krusade” (this is a vacation Bible school in combined form) in 1991, and are now doing from 12 to 15 each year. These last from 3 to 5 days, and are usually in the evening. We hold most of these during the summer, but many are held just as successfully, if not better, during the school year itself. Children have opportunities during the day to invite friends, and the “Krusades” usually build themselves. We teach exciting godly songs, have a lot of “spiritual fun”, and emphasize and surely prioritize the preaching of God’s Word in a visualized way. There have been many seeds of the Word of God planted in the hearts of these American boy and girls, and many souls have been harvested for salvation, and many even understandingly follow the Lord’s command for baptism. We love children, and pray that God will continue to bless this specific effort to reach the children of America through the local Baptist churches.
Our own children have now grown into involvement with the children’s meetings. They help lead the singing, minister with puppets, help with the younger children, and Andrew has even preached and organized some junior church services.
