Dr. Robert Wilson, who is a dentist and member of our home church, takes a medical missions trip each year to one of the missionaries that our church supports. He has a great love for people, and is especially burdened to help get the gospel to poorer countries. The Lord has tremendously opened doors for each missionary that he has gone to help. Tim had the privilege of going with him to Pakistan in October of 2007, and to Bolivia in January of 2009. These two trips were combined effort of medical missions and children’s outreach. It was also a great encouragement to our missionary families. Pray for Dr. Wilson as the Lord leads him to the next place, and also that the Lord will provide the means to meet the needs, and the protection as these endeavors are made.
This trip to Bolivia was quite an exciting ride. The Kenneth Ellzey Family has been ministering for about three years in the high altitudes of the Andes Mountains. They have started a fairly new work in the town of Coroico. The Lord has truly blessed the work. The medical clinics helped to open many doors for the gospel. God gave the increase on a Sunday evening service with a record attendance, and three men coming forward for salvation. Pray for the Ellzey's safety, as they travel on the “most dangerous roads in the world” (named this by National Geographic), for their health, and for the Lord to continue to keep the country open to foreign missionaries.
