This August, the Crumpton family, Lord willing, will be flying to the country of Trinidad for their fourth annual Jr. camp. This all began in 2005 with a burden of missionary, John Nemo, (who is now pastoring in Pennsylvania). They had never had a camp for the elementary age kids of the the independent Baptist churches there, so he asked the Crumpton's to come and help. This burden continues there, lead by missionary Tyrone Jackson.
Last year over 50 attended, including about 16 teenagers from the churches to work as helpers. It worked as quality leadership training among the youth of those churches. Several folks in the churches come to help with cooking and organization. Pray for the remaining costs of the flights, and for another great turnout. Pray also for the rented camp situation there. Each year, the Lord has given us the whole campground to use, even though others were scheduled to come and share the facilities. God caused those groups to cancel two years straight!
Junior Camp in Trinidad is a great time of discipleship, and needed fellowship of the churches there. The need for pastors and full time ministry workers is great it Trinidad, so what better place to start than the children!
Thank the Lord for those full-time missionaries in Trinidad. (Gossets, Jacksons, Hoffmeisters, and others) Please pray for them.
